FAQs
What brought them to WC?
They have always been in the food business in this community. The family is well known in WC as the owners of Giunta’s Market. When the grocery store closed, they wanted to stay in WC and pursue Sean’s dream of owning his own restaurant.
Why the name Pietro’s Prime?
Pietro comes from Marisa’s great grandfather, Pietro Giunta, a butcher. It was a natural fit to name it after her great-grandpop when they decided to do a steakhouse.
What does Sean do?
In a past life Sean worked with numbers, but he followed his true passion for food and attended the Philadelphia Restaurant School to help reach his dream. He spends all of his time in the restaurant’s kitchen, so they are proud to say that the owner is actually in the kitchen overseeing all the ingredients and everything that comes out. “A customer came in the other day and said that in Europe they only allow a restaurant to operate if the owner works in the kitchen. We embrace the same mentality.”
And Marisa?
Her bubbly personality and warm smile makes her a perfect fit for front of house management. She and the hosts greet each and every customer as if they are family to ensure they have a relaxed and comfortable dining experience.
Sean’s food philosophy:
“We make sure to have fresh ingredients, daily deliveries of the finest produce and seafood and meats that are butchered daily. The food is really what inspires me. I love working with food, I love pairing food with wine and I always put a lot of love into what I create.” I was also told that he is armed with secret ingredients, but never tells a soul (even Marisa).
What makes Pietro’s Prime different from other WC restaurants?
“No one else in town is a true steakhouse, and we are one of a very few high-end eateries in the borough. We offer exceptional food and service in a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. It’s like a family here, warm and homey where we always know who you are. We treat our staff like family, so it’s only natural that it trickles down to the customers.”
